What is Lido?

Lido is the largest liquid staking protocol, letting users stake ETH (and other assets) and receive a liquid receipt token in return. LDO is the protocol's separate governance token.

How to stake LDO

  1. Open an official or well-audited interface for the Lido protocol — start from the link on this page.
  2. Connect a wallet holding the asset you want to stake and deposit the amount you choose.
  3. Receive the protocol's liquid staking receipt token in return — it starts accruing rewards immediately.
  4. Use the receipt token freely (hold, trade, or use in DeFi), or hold it until you want to redeem.
  5. To exit, either sell the receipt token on the open market or redeem it directly through the protocol, subject to its own withdrawal process.

StakeRadar is an informational guide only. We don't process transactions, hold funds, or connect to wallets. Use the "Go to official site" button above (or a provider below) to reach a real, official destination and complete staking there, in your own wallet.

Unbonding & lock-up

Staked ETH receipt tokens (stETH) are liquid and tradeable immediately; converting stETH back to ETH one-to-one instead of trading it goes through Lido's own withdrawal queue.

Frequently asked questions

Is staking LDO safe?

Staking Lido carries the general risks common to all staking — market price risk, and depending on the network and method, slashing, lock-up, smart-contract, or counterparty risk. It is not risk-free. Read our staking risks guide before you start.

What's the minimum amount of LDO needed to stake?

Minimums vary by method: delegating from a personal wallet often has no minimum or a very small one, while running your own validator (where relevant) usually requires a much larger amount. Check the official Lido site for the current requirement.

How long does it take to unstake LDO?

Staked ETH receipt tokens (stETH) are liquid and tradeable immediately; converting stETH back to ETH one-to-one instead of trading it goes through Lido's own withdrawal queue.
